Tips for Tipping!

Leaving tips on your big day is a touchy subject and a hard one to decide on when it comes to all of the helpful vendors you'll be dealing with throughout your big day! We have a list of each vendor and what the recommendation for a tip would be.

Hair & Makeup:
Treat that as any normal visit and tip your stylists with a 15 - 20 % tip.

Wedding Planner:
They're there to make your day easier, they don't expect a tip at all. If they go up any beyond for you, then a tip is up to you! If you were given any type of discount off of your contract, maybe a 10 - 20 percent tip is a nice way to say thank you for your efforts.

Catering:
Some caterers include gratuity within the contract, if not, you should include 15 to 20 percent of the entire bill. Or you can divide it up per server, and chef, offering $20 - $100.

Transportation:
Gratuity is normally included in the contract as well, but if not, a 15 percent tip is great.

Florist:
Florists don't expect any tips but if they do an AMAZING job, you can give them a 10 to 15 percent tip.

Photographer & Videographer:
If they own the studio, no tip is required but if not, a nice gesture would be anywhere from $50 to $200. If they bring assistants on to help, $50 a person is good and/or optional.

Officiant:
Most officiants don't accept tips so a great way around this is to donate money to their church. But other times, if they're non-denominational, try giving them a tip of $100 even if they don't charge you for your service.

Bands & DJs:
It's nice to offer musicians a tip anywhere from $25 to $50 per band member and a 10 to 15 percent tip for your DJ.

Not all vendors expect a tip because we all LOVE what we do and the perfect results that we produce in making our bride and grooms wedding day so memorable! If you're not big on tips, giving a simple gift, a thank-you note or a simple thank you, smile and a hug go a long way!
