Planning Your Wedding Registry!

Setting up your registry should be a two man game. Include your soon-to-be spouse and keep your guests in mind while doing so! We have a few tips to keep in mind when planning our your registry.

• Stop and take the time to make lists.
• Sit down with your spouse, as tempting as it may be to make the list with your best friend or mother, unfortunately, you won't be living with them after you tie the knot. So make your list practical and create it with your hubby!
• Go up any beyond!
• The more the merrier is the saying! Even if you have a small guest list, add more gifts for your guests to choose from. Most guests will spoil you so give them options and most guests will register for two gifts.
• Be creative.
• Adding more gifts to the list also comes with adding a little creativity. Sit down and see what you two actually need and then what you want as well. Register with different stores for more variety just DON'T register for the same gift at different stores. Also create subjects such as, In the Kitchen, Under the Stars for outside things, At the Desk, etc. 
• Keep a budget in mind.
• Be aware of the age range of your guests. Not everyone has the same budgets so be gracious and have a variety of price ranges on the gifts that you register for. A good idea is having the cheapest start around $50 and the higher end ones to go upwards of $200.
• Keep the personal and offensive items off the list. 
• If you're in need of a new iPhone, clothes or more personal items, that's fine, but leave those off of your list. The registry is for you and your spouse, not just yourself! Keep in mind the minds of your guests as well, some offense could be taken on some gifts.
• Stay on top of your registry!
• Be sure to monitor your online registries throughout your countdown to the wedding. Be sure to update items if they are out of stock or maybe you received them at your shower. 

Online registries have become very popular over the last few years; you're able to add items from your own home instead of going into the store, you can monitor them right from your desk at work, add or take things off, and your guests can even ship bigger items right to your door! If the store is having a sale, it is usually offered at the checkout as well.
